Rick Cohn
A creative director and copywriter, Rick was a founder of three respected advertising/marketing firms during his more than 45-year tenure in the Boston communications community.
Over the course of more than four decades as a visible presence in Boston advertising, Rick satisfied his creative and entrepreneurial instincts by founding three different agencies: Rizzo Simons Cohn in the 1980s, Cohn Godley Norwood in the 1990s and, beginning in 2001, 360 Branding & Communications in conjunction with his longtime partner, Nick de Sherbinin.
At Rizzo Simons Cohn, Rick worked on accounts as diverse as New Balance, Staples, Fidelity Investments and King Arthur Flour. At Cohn Godley Norwood, he led the creative and account service teams responsible for all print communications for Charles Schwab. And at 360, his primary focus was Nationwide Financial.
Asked once by a prospective client how he earned his living, Rick answered, “By following my curiosity.” It wasn’t an idle comment. The process of helping companies and organizations identify and communicate the essence of their brands has engaged him throughout a long and focused career. His affiliation with Ball Consulting Group is a natural outgrowth of his relationship and friendship with David Ball, which dates back to early in the millennium.
