Aug. 2, 2019 – Ball Consulting Group, LLC, a strategic communications and public relations firm, is celebrating its 15th year in business serving clients in health care, education, nonprofit and other sectors in Massachusetts and nationally.
David A. Ball, president of Ball Consulting Group, founded the firm in 2004 after long career stints in state government and the health care industry.  Since its inception, Ball Consulting Group has assisted hundreds of clients in developing and articulating messaging, building public support through media and external relations, and preparing for and managing crises.
Crisis work, in particular, has made the firm national in scope, as it has assisted major brands in dealing with significant business challenges.

Ball Consulting Group, LLC Names Kelly Hynes McDermott Account Director

May 21, 2019 – Ball Consulting Group, LLC, announces the appointment of Kelly Hynes McDermott as Account Director.
McDermott has over two decades of experience in marketing and public relations.  Prior to joining Ball Consulting Group, she founded and directed her own marketing consultancy, Hynes Communications, providing end-to-end marketing solutions for businesses throughout the Boston area.
“Kelly brings knowledge, experience and sophistication in PR and marketing for nonprofits and businesses, particularly those in the retail and B2B sectors, and we believe this will be an asset both to existing and new clients,” said David A. Ball, president of Ball Consulting Group.  “We know that Kelly will continue to do well what she has always done for growing businesses and mission-oriented nonprofits, only with the additional resources and support of a larger firm.”
McDermott began her career as a PR executive for both Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s.  She honed her skills in media relations and marketing in the retail sector and expanded her communications practice as a sole proprietor to deliver strategic marketing and PR campaigns to a broad range of industries including health care, real estate, retail, nonprofit and professional service firms.
McDermott is a resident of Medfield and holds a bachelor’s degree in English and communications from Boston College.

Speaking with moderator Joy Scott of L.A.-based Scott Public Relations, David discusses the keys to selecting and collaborating with the “right PR firm” to create a winning partnership.
PRBI’s podcast series, launching in 2019, is designed to provide practical information on the changing world of public relations, how communications can be improved and enhanced, and how practitioners and clients can engage to solve many of the new challenges in communications today.
