June 16, 2022 – Ball Consulting Group, LLC won a Silver Bell Ringer Award from PR Club, which honored and celebrated the outstanding work of PR, communications and marketing professionals in New England during the 54th Annual Bell Ringer Awards ceremony.
The company earned the “Silver Bell” for its series of media placements calling attention to the human services workforce crisis in Massachusetts, including a front-page story in the Boston Globe.
Jan. 11, 2022 – Ball Consulting Group is featured in the annual crisis communications special issue of O’Dwyer’s, the No. 1 publication for public relations and marketing communications professionals.
The magazine published a thought leadership piece by President & Founder David Ball on the communications steps that higher education leaders can take to combat hate and bias on campus.

Dec. 29, 2021 – David Ball, founder and president of Ball Consulting Group, recently joined the PR’s Top Pros Talk podcast to discuss the advantages of working with a boutique public relations agency.
The podcast –hosted by Doug Simon and produced by his firm D S Simon Media and PR industry publication O’Dwyer’s – features top PR executives sharing valuable insights and strategies during these challenging times. Ball, who also serves as president of PR Boutiques International, a global collaborative of independently owned boutique PR firms, highlighted smaller firms’ ability to be nimble and adapt to clients’ needs.

Oct. 5, 2021 – David Ball’s expertise in crisis management was featured in a recent article published by PR News, a leading source of information for public relations pros, agencies and other organizations.
The thought leadership piece provides a crisis communications lesson from HBO’s popular drama series “Succession,” noting that threats rarely work as a PR strategy against media outlets that are about to publish a negative story. Addressing bad stories directly, promptly and truthfully is really the best route to take.

July 23, 2021 – David Ball, founder and president of Ball Consulting Group, was elected president of PR Boutiques International (PRBI), a global collaborative network of independently owned boutique public relations firms.
Ball leads a diverse slate of new executive committee and board members from PR firms in locales ranging from Chicago and Los Angeles to India and Latvia. Ball Consulting Group has been a member of PRBI since 2017.

Jan. 22, 2021 – Ball Consulting Group President David Ball penned a blog post for O’Dwyer’s magazine about the debut of the new White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, on Inauguration Day.
“Her handling of that [first] briefing signaled to the media and the world that change had come to the White House,” wrote Ball, noting that the role is “the world’s toughest public relations job.”

Jan. 8, 2021 – Ball Consulting Group, LLC President David Ball was quoted in a Forbes article exploring the crisis management lessons from this week’s U.S. Capitol siege.
“The first thing to remember about crisis management is that preparation can, in fact, avert many crises,” said Ball. “The protest—which became an insurrection—had been planned for weeks. A stronger line of defense could likely have prevented the breach.”
